Telford fans have a key role to play says Chambers

After the lowest crowd for a Saturday league game at the New Bucks Head since the club's rebirth in 2004 – 948 on hand for the 2-0 loss to Gloucester City on February 4 – three incentives are in effect.

A ticket for all seven of the Bucks' remaining home games was available for for £65, under-16s could get in for £1 per game and a family ticket – for two adults, and two children – costs £20 per match.

Telford – who are out of the National League North drop zone on goal difference – host Tamworth tomorrow.

"During the entirety of the time me and (boss) Rob (Smith) have been here – the first spell from 2006 until 2010, and then when we came back here in 2015 – the supporters have been fantastic," said assistant boss Chambers, for whom yesterday marked 11 years since he and Smith were appointed for their first spell.

"And their support is probably more important now than ever.

"We have 14 games left – seven at home – and the home games are massive, and we need to be picking up points from them. There is nothing better than the Telford fans getting behind you and that was proved last season as they really rallied behind us and we stayed up.

"Hopefully they can get behind us as it is an important game. At the same time though, we need to be giving them something to shout about."

Telford – who lost 2-1 at Tamworth earlier in the season – go into the clash against the seventh-placed Lambs in good spirits following a 1-1 draw at league leaders AFC Fylde last weekend.

Chambers is eager to replicate that performance and added: "If you put in a good performance like that, it's all about making sure you take it into the next game.

"It's no good getting a draw at a top side and then following it up with a poor display. We need to build on it."
