Telford facing keeping dilemma

The Bucks have two talented keepers to choose from for tomorrow's big clash – Shrewsbury Town loanee Callum Burton and Fleetwood Town shot-stopper Matt Urwin.

Burton, 20, has played Telford's last four National League North games, while Urwin kept a clean sheet as they beat Salop 2-0 in the Shropshire Senior Cup final on Tuesday night.

Bucks assistant boss Larry Chambers said: "It's a difficult one. It is a bit of a dilemma. Shrewsbury have been very, very good to us at short notice and Callum has done well in the games he's played.

"Matty's here, he kept a clean sheet on Tuesday night and he's here until the end of the season.

"We are in a fortunate position as we have two good keepers. Myself and (boss) Rob (Smith) will have to decide on that one."

Urwin played three times in the league, keeping one clean sheet, after arriving on loan from Fleetwood but picked up a hip injury, prompting the Bucks to bring in Burton for a month.

After recovering quicker than anticipated – missing only one game – the 23-year-old has had to watch on from the sidelines in recent weeks.

Heading into tomorrow's encounter at the New Bucks Head, Telford are 16th in the table – four points ahead of Gainsborough Trinity who occupy the third and final relegation place.

Bradford are just one point clear of the drop zone and, while it may not be a must-win for the Bucks, they can ill afford to lose.

The hosts are hoping Lee Hughes will be fully recovered from a groin injury for the game, and that Blackpool loanee Luke Higham will return after the best part of a month out with a badly bruised ankle.

"I'm hoping those two will be back as we have missed them both," added Chambers.

"Lee did a light session on Tuesday night and trained last night. I'd like to think he will be available for selection.

"With Luke Higham, it's slightly different. We have got to be guided by (his parent club) Blackpool but he started training this week.

"It is a massive game, we are under no illusions. It is a really big game."

Telford were also set to assess Josh Wilson at training last night.

The forward – who is the top scorer with eight league goals – was forced off in the Tuesday night's triumph after a bad cut on his knee.
