Bernard McNally: AFC Telford must build on crucial win

I'm pleased AFC Telford were able to get a huge three points at Stalybridge on Tuesday night to help their own relegation worries.

They really have to try to build on it against Worcester on Saturday, it's the same as with Shrewsbury – they want to get out of trouble now and not leave it late,

writes Bernard McNally.

They can get secure and look ahead to next season, Rob Smith will be able to get his plans in place, hopefully they'll get the required points in the bag with time to spare.

The Worcester game will be interesting. They're in trouble, they've let certain players go because of finances – including Lee Hughes – it might be a good time to catch them.

The Hughes factor could be key. Let's hope he does the 'old-boys trick', it always seemed to be when I played that anyone that had been with you would score against you!

Rob will definitely be expecting three points in this game, he knows Worcester well. He brought four players in last week – it'll be interesting to see how many they've used this season – but having a strong group now means there should be no excuses for the players.
