Rob Smith: AFC Telford like 'a broken record'

AFC Telford United boss Rob Smith has labelled his side 'a broken record' following their 3-0 loss at Boston United.

As has been so often the case this term, the Bucks made costly defensive errors as Jay Rollins struck twice, either side of Mani Dieseruvwe's penalty, at York Street.

"It's the same as always. Every away game is the same - we are in the game, have good chances, but make unbelievably ridiculous mistakes," said Smith.

"It's like a broken record. If we don't make mistakes, we win the game but every single goal was a disgrace.

"As long as that's going to happen, we are not going to get anything. We didn't deserve anything because of that."

Smith had a makeshift line-up out due to several injuries, including Zak Lilly who suffered a toe injury in the warm-up.

The Bucks chief added: "Everybody knows we are struggling a bit (with injuries) but that doesn't mean you make mistakes.

"You tell me what Joel Dielna was doing (giving away a penalty) for the second one, I don't know. I cannot work it out.

"This is supposed to be a team playing for next season. Injuries or no injuries, they're making it so easy for me it's frightening."
