Larry Chambers: Telford systems are not the problem
Assistant boss Larry Chambers has spoken of the struggle to find the right system for AFC Telford – but admits individual errors are his biggest worry.
The Bucks were set up with three centre-halves as they drew 1-1 at Stockport County on Good Friday, and then again as they lost 4-2 at home to Nuneaton Town on Easter Monday.
They switched to a more attacking formation, with a flat back four, halfway through the Boro defeat and, when asked if having a defensive trio is better suited on the road, Chambers said: "I don't know, because I don't think we were any better with the four. I don't really know.
"It's not about formations and systems though, it's all about individual mistakes.
"Whether you play a three, four, a five or whatever, if people are making mistakes then people are making mistakes.
"If you take a look at the highlights from Monday, look at the goals. We are passing the ball to people who are free to have a run on goal."
Meanwhile, the club's directors have subsidised the cost to travel on the official supporters' coach for the game at Darlington on Saturday.
It is the Bucks' final away game of the National League North season, with a point definitely securing safety.
Coach travel to Blackwell Meadows has been lowered from £23 (£21 in advance) per person to £11.
Those who had already booked and paid for their travel will get a refund on the coach on Saturday, and only a limited number of spaces are still available.
