The 24-year-old forward spent a month with the Bucks last season, netting two goals – crucial strikes in helping keep the club up – in five appearances.

It caps a busy couple of days of transfer activity by Telford chief Rob Smith.

He joins previous players Ben Bailey and Joe Fitzpatrick, alongside two new faces in centre-half Shane Sutton and midfielder Kieran Dunbar.

Marsden, who briefly represented Shrewsbury Town in the 2013/14 season, joins from Stockport County for the 2017/18 campaign.

Smith was keen to hail Marsden's character after completing the deal.

On capturing the attacker, the boss said: “I am absolutely delighted to sign John, he did really well for us when on loan and he was very keen to re-sign for the club.

"Marsden is exactly the type of player and character we want at the club and we are thrilled to have secured his signature for next season and I welcome him to the club."

The news arrives after the Bucks revealed that last season's skipper Luca Havern would be exiting the club.
