The Bucks recently held discussions with a group led by Anthony McMullen, who runs a medical centre business, that was interested in acquiring a 51 per cent stake in the club.

The consortium proposed they would offer '£250,000 up front or £20,000 each month.' In response, via a statement, Telford claimed ‘the individual could only purchase three per cent of the shares and could not purchase 51 per cent without going to the market and getting a loan.’

Speaking to the Shropshire Star, Dosser said: “We do not feel we need to add to the statement we made.

“The statement is clear and has been well received and understood by supporters of our club.”

A deal between the two parties is understood to be highly unlikely, while Telford are open to expressions of interest for the remaining 65 per cent stake in the club.

An excerpt of the club statement read: “The club board entered direct discussions with the potential investor from Ireland, there were a number of phone discussions and we met face to face on 15 and 19 May.” The statement added the potential investor, who has previously been involved at Scottish side Livingston, did not sign a non-disclosure agreement and declare proof of funds.

Lee Marsh, a football intermediary working on the behalf of the consortium, insisted a loan did not enter discussions and a non-disclosure agreement was never in place to sign.
