The 28-year-old keeper is one of eight players who have been announced by the Bucks for next season’s squad so far.

He was at Gloucester City last term and lists the likes of Shrewsbury Town, Kidderminster Harriers and Solihull Moors as former clubs.

Singh said: “I’m really pleased to have signed for Telford. The fans have given me an incredible welcome and I didn’t expect it at all.

“This season is going to be massive and we want to get off to a good start to get the fans right behind us, that’ll give us momentum.

“The crowd act as an extra motivation. And when they’re rooting for us we have to deliver.”

Singh left Gloucester after they were moved from National League North to South for the upcoming term – and he was not short of offers.

On why he chose the Bucks, he said: “Telford rang me first and made a real point of contacting me first. That helped things and leaned it towards them.

“(Boss) Rob Smith and (assistant boss) Larry Chambers tried to sign me while at Hednesford but it just didn’t happen.

“But once we’d had talks before we didn’t burn any bridges. They shook my hand and said all the best.

“(Coach) Gav (Cowan) was a massive part of me joining. I was a YTS at Shrewsbury while he played there and he always looked after me.”

He added: “Telford are a massive club. They’ve struggled recently but hopefully this is the start of things changing. We’re going to try to work hard as a team together and have a team spirit about us.”
