Evans takes the reins of the new Bucks team, which is actively looking for players, after recently finishing a four-year stint in charge of Shrewsbury Town Ladies in the West Midlands Regional League.

"I am delighted to be given the opportunity by AFC Telford United to coach the ladies team," he said.

"After leaving Shrewsbury at the end of last season after four brilliant years, the aim for myself was to have some time off from the game but the offer which was put to myself from Telford was too good to refuse"

"I'm looking forward to building this club up and taking it forward, and with the full support from AFC Telford United there is every chance that could happen."

Evans will work alongside Les Smith and Mick Cutler, with open trials for the team starting on Wednesday at Telford College of Arts and Technology.

Luke Shelley, the Bucks' head of youth, added: "Once I heard of Sean’s availability and we met up for a chat, it was clear he was the right type of individual to bring into the club to work alongside our existing team, and I am thrilled we beat off competition to get him on board."
