Former AFC Telford skipper Luca Havern joins National League North rivals
Former AFC Telford United skipper Luca Havern has signed for fellow National League North side Bradford Park Avenue.
The Bucks' players' player of the year for last season was offered fresh terms by Rob Smith earlier this summer, but turned them down as he looked to secure a move closer to his Manchester home.
The 28-year-old centre-half made 40 league appearances for Telford last term, scoring once.
Avenue boss Mark Bower said: "Luca is a player that I’ve admired for a few years now and he has an impressive CV in non league football.
“He has achieved two promotions in the last five years from our division and has National League experience.
“Last year he was captain and player of the year at Telford, so when we found out he was looking for a move to be closer to home we felt he would be a great addition for us, so we moved quickly to secure his services for next season.”
