Big Aston Villa turnouts expected at AFC Telford and Shrewsbury Town
Aston Villa supporters are expected to descend upon Shropshire in their thousands as they look to catch a glimpse of new signing John Terry.
The former England captain this week signed a one-year deal with the Championship side, who make the trip to AFC Telford United for a pre-season friendly on Wednesday before heading to Shrewsbury Town next Saturday.
The Bucks expect a crowd of around 2,500-3,000 for the 7.45pm clash.
The club insist a few hundred Villa fans have bought tickets in advance, and will be housed in the 1200-capacity Frank Nagington Stand.
Telford expect a large number of Villa supporters to purchase tickets at the gate, and have urged them and home fans to arrive early – turnstiles are open from 6.30pm.
Villa fans will be in the West Stand at Shrewsbury and more than 3,400 tickets have been made available to them.
