The right-back had been involved in Wolves' first team during pre-season but Simpson has been allowed to link up with Rob Edwards' National League North side.

The 20-year-old joined Wolves from Maidstone United two years ago and, while impressing for the under-23s including in last season's Checkatrade Trophy, has yet to make a competitive senior appearance in gold and black.

A loan spell with League Two side Portsmouth last season proved fruitless but he will now look to make a big impact with the Bucks.

Simpson is under contract for another year at Molineux, with the option of another season.

Simpson becomes the second Wolves player to join Telford this week after fellow defender, centre half Aaron Hayden, also signed up on a one-year loan deal.

New boss Edwards made no secret of his plan to sign a number of Wolves players on loan when being appointed earlier this summer.

The two clubs have had strong ties for the past decade. Wolves use New Bucks Head for their under-23 games, and Telford have recently been making use of Wolves' Compton Park training facilities.
