Two goals from Anthony Dwyer on his first Bucks start alongside a first Telford goal from Jordan Lussey sealed the National League North win.

Rock-bottom Leamington offered little after threatening inside the first 10 minutes and Telford could have easily scored a handful but spurned opportunities late on.

Edwards was happy that his side understood the message and delivered the appropriate reaction to Saturday's heavy 4-1 home defeat to Bradford Park Avenue.

The boss said: "It was a good away performance. The players took on the message we spoke about and the lessons we learned from Saturday.

"Those 90-odd minutes were professional. It was great to keep a clean sheet, great to look at threat. I'm very pleased.

"Our message has always been to play forward. We've had to be a little bit clearer to the players. I think they understood what was required.

"We want to be direct and get the ball in the final third and then play football."

Dwyer joins strike partner Marcus Dinanga on two goals for the campaign as the duo threatened the Leamington defence all afternoon.

Despite suspect goalkeeping for Telford and Dwyer's opening brace, Tony Breeden made some late saves to keep the scoreline down for the hosts.

"It was frustrating (to not score more). You want to see certain people on the scoresheet and off the mark," added Edwards,

"It wasn't to be but it's still pleasing. One would've been enough with the clean sheet but we got three and could've had more on another day.

"I think in any league or against any defenders, they don't like anyone who can get in behind and have pace with a bit of a trick.

"Those two (Dwyer and Dinanga) have have got that. We needed to freshen things up, I was delighted with the two of them. Their attitude to running and keep running was very good.

"They were a constant threat all day long. I want to credit all of the players because the lads behind made sure they had service all day long."
