Rob Edwards making his mark with AFC Telford – Bernard McNally

There’s no doubt conceding three goals from set-pieces will have really disappointed Rob Edwards.

Time is crucial in management

But a slightly more depleted AFC Telford side were on a good run before the long trip to Gainsborough on Tuesday. Rob has got things together as manager of this team, he always knew what he wanted.

It was a tricky start but in management you need time. They’ve picked up and that is pleasing for everybody involved.

Some key absences, including captain Shane Sutton, won’t have helped. The boss will be hoping that Sutton’s return to the fold will mean there’s no repeat of goals conceded from throws, corners and free-kicks.

AFC Telford welcome Southport this weekend, who have suffered five defeats from their last six games. Hopefully the Bucks can put Tuesday behind them and give a good performance in preparation for Hereford in the FA Cup next week.
