Rob Edwards will have been left encouraged by AFC Telford United’s draws against Brackley Town and Kidderminster Harriers.

Going to St James Park on Saturday and drawing 1-1 and having a goalless draw against Harriers at home on Boxing Day, those are good results.

It is small steps forward for Telford this season and those results prove they can hold their own against National League North’s big-hitters.

The Bucks are three unbeaten now in the league and do seem more solid defensively, although the goals have been in shorter supply as of late.

All in all, there is positivity at the New Bucks Head.

Edwards’ young side may not be winning all the time, but fans appreciate the effort they are putting in week after week.

There is quite a lot of competition there and they all seem to have the right attitude – willing to work hard and keen to improve.

And Edwards has a lot of potential as a manager.
