Bernard McNally: Rob Edwards needs to get AFC Telford firing again
There is a worry that Telford’s season will fizzle out but you’ve just got to hope that Rob Edwards can pick the players up.
He’s got to say ‘we’ve got to go again’. They’ve got a hell of a lot of points to play for in the second half of the season.
I’m sure he will be looking for his side to get the required points now so they are not going into the last period of the season having to really fight and put themselves in a stupid position.
He will want to ensure they have a more comfortable end to the season and then, as a manager, he will be already looking at where he needs to strengthen for next season.
If players don’t have the mentality that they want to improve and learn, Rob will pick them out and look to replace them.
You look at the table and a home game against mid-table Curzon Ashton, on paper, is a game Telford need to win. But the game is not played on paper, you play on grass!
