Aaron Hayden and Matthew Barnes-Homer leave AFC Telford

Hayden, 20, was with the Bucks on a season-long loan but has gone back to the Molineux outfit after a lack of game time under Edwards.

Barnes-Homer, 31, has recently been playing at Halesowen Town under a dual-registration and is no longer tied to Telford.

“Aaron has gone back to Wolves, that’s been sorted,” said Edwards.

“Matt has been released too. He is still registered at Halesowen Town but we’ve deregistered him now.

“I think there’s a few clubs looking at Matt. He’ll be fine.”

Hayden follows in the footsteps of Aaron Simpson, in having his loan spell from Wolves cut short.

The centre-half played nine times for the Bucks – his last appearance being the 1-0 FA Trophy defeat at Blyth Spartans on December 19.

“They need to be playing, these young players,” said Edwards.

“There’s no point him being here and not playing much games, it does not do a lot for his development.

“Both the Aarons we’ve had here, their attitude has been fantastic. We wish them well in the future, as we do with Barnesy.”

Barnes-Homer also made nine appearances for Telford, scoring once.

That goal came on the opening day of the season as Edwards’ charges won 1-0 at York City.

He was used sparingly, though, afterwards and allowed to join Halesowen – in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier – under a dual-registration.

“He’s been great around the place and I think that he may still train with us from time to time,” added Edwards.

“He may be around on some Mondays and Fridays, he’s welcome.

“I don’t mind having him around, at all. He’s a very good person.”

Meanwhile, the Bucks remain open to sending midfielders Jack Rea, Louis McGrory and Will Marsh out on loan.

Edwards wants long-term absentee Rea to have a short spell at a lower level before integrating him back into the Bucks team.

The 25-year-old is the club’s longest-serving current player but has not played since August due to an ankle problem.

McGrory and Marsh have not played for Telford over the past couple of months.

Marsh had a month’s loan spell at Stourbridge earlier in the campaign but was limited to substitute appearances.
