The 28-year-old striker has joined the Bucks as they sit second from bottom in National League North.

He is the second oldest player in the squad and is desperate to avoid adding another relegation to his CV – after being part of the York City side that dropped out of the National League last campaign.

“You will see that at all levels, young players can struggle with consistency,” said Morgan-Smith.

“There are some good players here and I’m sure they’ll pick up again.”

As well as York, where he scored four goals this term, Morgan-Smith lists the likes of Kidderminster Harriers, Oldham Athletic and Cheltenham Town as former clubs. He is hoping to use what he has learned from those sides to help his fellow Telford forwards, including top scorer Marcus Dinanga who has gone five games without scoring.

“I’m hoping I can help them, especially the strikers,” added Morgan-Smith.

“They would have picked up things from Sylvan Ebanks-Blake.

“Hopefully I can help them as well and, of course, score a few goals myself along the way.”

Morgan-Smith is looking to make his Bucks bow against North Ferriby United on Saturday.
