The Bucks signed defenders Paul Bignot and Niall Maher last week, and they helped them to a 1-0 win against FC United of Manchester on Saturday.

They take on Nuneaton Town tonight (7.45pm) looking to make it back-to-back home victories, and Edwards is pleased with the options at his disposal.

“I think we’ve got a group there that are capable of achieving the points that are needed,” said Edwards, whose side are third bottom in National League North.

“We’ve got a really good blend now of youth, experience, quality and pace. I don’t envisage any changes now.”

Telford’s spirits were raised by the triumph at the weekend. They did not perform exceptionally, but dug deep for the three points.

Edwards wants another solid performance tonight, but realises it will be difficult to break down Nuneaton, who are on a seven-game unbeaten run in the league.

“You see the difference in everyone when you win and what we have to do is try to replicate that,” he said.

“I thought we did the basics well on Saturday, didn’t make any mistakes.

“We did enough – got the all-important goal, and they didn’t.

“We need to build momentum. It’s seven points from the last for games so it’s not bad, we’re picking up points again.

“We can never guarantee a result but we can guarantee we will give everything – work really hard to try to get the result.

“We know it will be a really tough night against Nuneaton, they’ve picked up well.

“I saw them live against FC United a couple of weeks ago when one of our games was off and I was impressed with them. We are under no illusions.”

He added: “We’re up against a different team with different strengths.

“We’re capable, though. We believe and we’ve got to go show it and do it.”
