The full-back, and son of former Chelsea striker Kevin Wilson, joined the club last September from Matlock Town and made 18 appearances for the club.

Wilson thanked fans for their support during his spell in Shropshire in a statement on the AFC Telford website.

"I would like to thank everyone involved with AFC Telford United (Fans, Staff, Supporters) for the past seven months for welcoming me into the club." he said.

"It has been a pleasure and privilege playing under a top manager/staff and playing alongside a great bunch of lads. I know there is an enough quality and hard work in the dressing room to keep the club in the league.

"The fans need to keep on getting behind the team for the rest of the season and help push them over the line.

"I know the club will all pull together and get through this period.”
