The New Bucks Head surface has struggled to cope with rain and snow over the past few months and today’s scheduled league clash with Spennymoor Town has fallen foul to the weather.

It is the ninth time the Bucks - who are third bottom in National League North - have had a match called off this campaign due to the state of the pitch.

Rob Edwards’ side have now been inactive for nine of the past 15 Saturdays.

The club said in a statement: “AFC Telford United fixture against Spennymoor Town has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

“The heavy rainfall over night with more expected today was too much for the pitch with all the recent bad weather we have occurred.

“We would like to thank (head groundsman) Mick Conway for all his hard work throughout the week despite the bad weather.”

Spennymoor Town (away, in the league) - Saturday, December 2

York City (home, in the league) - Saturday, December 9
