Nineteen-year-old defender Sears and 21-year-old goalkeeper Bramley have been snapped up on loan by the Bucks, from Shrewsbury Town and Leicester City respectively.

Sears is capable of playing as a full-back or centre-half and shone at Welsh Premier side Newtown last season.

Bramley has not played for the Foxes’ first team yet but has been a regular for the Premier League club’s Under-23s.

“Max is a very well-rounded young man. He’s someone who I’ve known about for quite some time,” said Cowan.

“I’ve seen a lot of his under-23s games for Leicester.

“He’s probably ready for this level, in terms of physicality and the barrage that will come his way, should he start. He’s a great addition. They think really highly of him at Leicester.

“Ryan, a lot of hard work has gone into getting him on board.

“He did incredibly well over at Newtown last season. I think he was the Welsh Premier’s young player of the year.

“I’ve got connections there and they spoke really highly of him.

“I think he played at centre-half at Newtown but I don’t think he’ll play there at this level if I’m totally honest, I think he’s more of a right-back.

“We’re really excited to have both of them on board.”
