Theo Streete has a good vibe about AFC Telford United

Defensive star Theo Streete has backed the depth of talent and togetherness to help AFC Telford remain competitive in an ‘even’ National League North.

Streete, 30, has settled into life with the Bucks and has formed a solid partnership with skipper Shane Sutton at the heart of Gavin Cowan’s defence.

The former Solihull and Brackley man got behind Cowan’s stance of bringing the good times back to Telford and is anticipating a great attendance and atmosphere against Chester at the New Bucks Head today.

He said: “We’ve said this is one of the most even Conference Norths in years.

“Sometimes when you’ve been part of a successful team you just know, everything clicks.

“I could definitely see us (continuing form), the sign of a good group is depth. With other teams if someone gets injured long-term you think they could struggle but with us it’s almost ‘next person up.’ You can see our togetherness every time we score.”

Former Bucks scout Luke Fogarty has joined Wrexham.
