AFC Telford buzz helps the club’s coffers
Interim chairman Andy Pryce says AFC Telford United’s rise up the table has helped improve the club’s financial footing.
The Bucks, who have had well-documented money troubles over the past few years, are currently fifth in National League North.
And while funds are still fairly tight, the improvement under Gavin Cowan has boosted home crowds.
“We are here, and we are OK. Things have been improving,” said Pryce.
“I am not going to say we have a lot of money because we haven’t. Things on the pitch have helped because people want to see a winning team.
“There is a real buzz around the club, but a lot of hard work goes into things every day.
“A few people have bought shares, and we are always looking for investment.
“We are having more fans in. Attendances are around 1,150 and hopefully, it will be up to 1,200 to 1,250 by the end of the year – and we had the odd game like Hereford where we had 1,800. We are going the right way, and we believe in the process.”
