Gavin Cowan: AFC Telford must show their pride

Gavin Cowan has called on his underperforming AFC Telford players to show some pride in turning their displays around.

The Bucks are without a win in five National League North games after a disappointing month saw them slip to 13th.

And Cowan was frustrated by performances again in the 2-0 home defeat to AFC Fylde on Saturday.

"You're going to feel down, I've been there as a player and now as a manager. It's tough, it takes over your whole life unfortunately," said Cowan, who next takes his side to 17th-placed Curzon Ashton on Saturday.

"We have to put it into perspective, there's a lot of things going on in the world in these strange times. It hurts but we have to remember we're healthy and life is still good.

"But when you've got pride and passion about what you do you want to be successful and I want these players to be successful.

"They've got to want that as well, if they can play like they did in the second half I'm sure we're going to be alright, but that's on them, I can only give them the platform."
