The Bucks have declared that they wish for the season to be ceased, with records wiped, while loans remain the winter funding option rather than grants.

Telford, who are coming towards the end of a two-week break called by the National League, also called for action to remain suspended until the outcome of the resolution vote is revealed in just under a month.

National League clubs were provided with a resolution to vote on the outcome of the season at the beginning of this week.

The club also made clear their stance that they do not wish to play on until funded Covid-19 testing is put in place. Telford say they are not willing to 'jeopardise the club for four months of football.'

The Bucks and other National North and South clubs have been told they are expected to play on from Saturday, when the temporary suspension comes to an end. Telford had been due to host Spennymoor.

But neither side want to play the fixture given grave financial concerns and health and safety fears and have made league bosses aware of this. It remains to be seen what stance the league will take on the club's stance on not being willing to play.

Telford say there are 'a lot more questions left for the league to answer'.

The New Bucks Head club say in a statement that, in a 'very frustrating' time, they cannot continue to finance bills and other overheads, having previously been informed funding would be in the form of grants – and not loans – while fans could not enter stadia.

The statement continued: "We are not in a position to jeopardise the safety of players, staff and the short or long term future of AFC Telford United for the sake of playing four months of football.

"There are still a lot more questions to be answered by the National League which we will await to hear."

Telford sit 13th in National North after 17 league games. They have not played since a 1-1 draw against Curzon Ashton on January 16.
