‘Slow progress’ as Kevin Wilkin tries to freshen up Telford
AFC Telford United have begun the ‘challenging process’ of recruiting new players to their threadbare squad, manager Kevin Wilkin revealed.
The Bucks have had an injury-hit start to life in Southern Central Premier but could be boosted by some fresh arrivals soon.
And Wilkin admitted he expects movement both in and out of New Bucks Head as he looks to work around his tight budget.
“We’ve got to free up some money and move some players out and that process has started, but it’s slow progress,” the Bucks manager said. “I’ve had conversations with some players and told them they may need to go and look elsewhere to play their football.”
