Shrewsbury Town set to make announcement over safe-standing bid
Shrewsbury Town is set to make a major announcement in its bid to bring in safe-standing at the Montgomery Waters Meadow.
This morning the club tweeted:
Town hopes to install around 500 rail-seating places, becoming the first English or Welsh club to introduce safe-standing.
A £75,000 crowd-funding initiative was launched at the beginning of August.
The idea was created via the club’s supporters’ parliament.
