The Wales youth international has not been part of Paul Hurst's plans at Montgomery Waters Meadow.

The 22-year-old has not trained with the first-team squad since his latest loan at National League North side Southport came to an end at the beginning of this year.

Smith's two-year deal with Shrewsbury was signed in March 2016 and runs out this month.

And the club confirmed on Friday morning that he had left by mutual consent.

He has now linked up with former Town man Rob Edwards' Bucks, who are battling the drop in non-league's second tier.

Edwards said: “I am delighted to have secured the signing of Dom until of the season, he is local player we have been interested in for some time as he has experience at this level and above.

"He joins us with the right attitude and hunger to succeed and help the club remain in the National League North”

The former Belvidere School student, who made his Town debut as a 19-year-old in October 2015, has three caps for Wales Under-21s.

But, after originally being recalled from a loan at Barrow shortly into Hurst's Town tenure due to a shortage of right-sided defenders, his time at Shrewsbury has now come to an end.
