Leyton Orient v Shrewsbury preview: Matt Taylor is keen to ease the pressure with goals at O’s
Matt Taylor and his Shrewsbury Town side have come in for a little bit of flack over the last couple of weeks.
Despite three early wins, supporters voiced their opinions at the final whistle in the two games at the Croud Meadow this past week – more than anything over a lack of goals.
And Taylor takes his side to Leyton Orient this Saturday knowing that as much as it is about three points, it is all about finding the net.
Despite this difficult mini run, the Salop chief has insisted his players remain in high spirits, with confidence.
And his belief remains unwavered – and he believes with a little bit of luck things will turn.
“Part of my role is to come out and tell the truth as it is, we have been good out of possession but not good enough in possession,” explained Taylor. “That has built up pressure, now it is my job to remove that element of pressure from the players. We have good players, really good players who at the moment are not getting that little bit of luck that you need on a football pitch.
“If you look at the chances we have missed, there have been saves, we’ve hit the woodwork and we just need one to drop and everything will turn in terms of pressure.
