The event, organised by the Wolves Former Players’ Association (WFPA), took place after Paul Lambert’s side took on Blackburn at Molineux last month.

In attendance were a host of ex-players who played for the club in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.

They included John McAlle who made more than 500 appearances for the club between 1967 and 1981; Phil Parkes who appeared more than 300 times between 1964 and 1978 and Steve Daley, Terry Wharton and Willie Carr who all played more than 200 times in gold and black.

Other players in attendance were Gerry Taylor, Colin Brazier, Mel Eves, Phil Nicholls, Gerry O’Hara, and Steve Kindon.

And now fans are being encouraged to attend The WFPA’s annual dinner which has been billed as Friendly Foes and will include talks from ex-Villa winger Tony Morley, ex-Blues man Kenny Burns and Albion great Tony Brown. The event takes place on June 28

“The informal lunch saw the players exchanging countless stories of their time together at Molineux,” said organiser Richard Green.

“Now we have the annual dinner which is the highlight of the year.” To attend the dinner email: info@wolves.co.uk
