Wolves boss Nuno: Win is all that matters
Nuno Espirito Santo said winning was all that mattered as Wolves edged their way into the Carabao Cup fourth round.
Bright Enobakhare's extra time goal settled a tight contest against Bristol Rovers at Molineux but Wolves were indebted to keeper Will Norris who pushed two shots onto the woodwork among a number of fine saves.
Nuno said: "The win is the most important thing and to be in the next round.
"Extra time, hard work for the boys, people pushing themselves. But we won."
Danish youngster Oskar Buur Rasmussen was a shock inclusion at right wing back as Nuno made eight changes from the weekend.
"It's important to manage all the squad, take a look at the under-23s and see what they have and try to help us in these moment," he added.
"It gives us a chance to give minutes. We prepared the players well but much credit to them, they work hard on a daily basis.
"Will (Norris) worked hard and was very important defensively, Will was there, he did his job.
"We prepare for the next game, which is always the most important one for us.
"It's a happy feeling. Bristol, credit to them, they pushed us very hard, they came here to fight. In cup competitions there is no division and we know the motivation levels are a big part of it. It was an entertaining game of football."
Enobakhare's goal was his first for more than two years since he netted on his debut, 31 appearances ago.
Nuno added: "Two years is too long. Hopefully today gives him confidence. It says to us everybody can help, even when you go out of the team and go in the next game it shows the character to push, this is good for us. He's not been short of confidence – he started the season very well and then other players came in. There's no 100 per cent starting XI.
"Seven clean sheets (from 11 matches so far) is good – the consistency of the defensive aspect, we managed strategy and set pieces. This is what I'm saying every day, to get better, to correct things, good analysis and prepare well."
