Nuno: No positives for 10-man Wolves
Nuno Espirito Santo said there were no positives to take after 10-man Wolves were beaten 2-0 by Sheffield United.
Two goals from former Wolves striker Leon Clarke condemned Nuno's team to their second defeat of the season after Conor Coady was red carded just 15 minutes in.
Ruben Neves missed a penalty with the score at 1-0 and Clarke punished Wolves with his second shortly afterwards.
Nuno said: "I'm disappointed, it's a bad result.
"The game started well but the red card, even though we stayed in the game and didn't allow them too many things apart from possession, is a bad result.
"The second half, we had a moment to go back in the game. But the boys showed character, we only conceded in the second half from a mistake of us, something that we have to really look at and try to avoid.
"There's nothing very positive from this game. We have to get up ourselves and show on Saturday that we really want to fight for each moment and each ball."
Coady saw red for pulling back Clarke as the striker ran through on goal. Nuno agreed with the referee's decision.
"No complaints," he said. "The law is clear, if you're last man holding it means you don't want to try and play the ball, it's a red card.
"In the second half we had a clear strategy and went on the pitch and controlled the game. We had the penalty and in that moment we were in control, even with one man less.
"Football is moments. When that happens you have to look at them and avoid. It's a mistake so let's correct – and the only way is working hard.
"We tried to find solutions. We spoke with the boys, put together our strategy and the acquitted well.
"Everything could change (with the penalty) but we don't waste too much time looking at that. The boys worked well, showed character, our fans saw we were organised and we fight.
"It was a tough game, we knew that. Saturday (away at Burton) is important for us to show we want this fight.
"I think we can win, draw or lose but one thing we always have to show is we are a team, that everybody works together and mistakes, our mistakes, are 'Wolves' mistakes and we answer with the next game.
"Football gives this – after one defeat you have a chance to go back and do it better. And win."
