‘Stick together and be positive’ is the message from fans’ favourite Andy Thompson as Wolves look to bounce back from defeat tomorrow.

Wolves lost 2-0 at Fulham last weekend

A run of two points from three Championship matches has seen the gap to second shrink from 13 points to six.

Wolves host Reading at Molineux at 5.30pm tomorrow before travelling to Leeds in midweek and then to Villa Park for a derby showdown with Villa next weekend.

Radio summariser Thompson has watched Wolves week in, week out this season and says there’s no need to panic, despite the concerning nature of last weekend’s defeat to Fulham.

“Everyone needs to stick together,” Thompson said.

“Wolves have got more than enough quality to get over the line and the way they’ve played all season they’ve deserved the backing of the crowd.

“If the last three games are Wolves’ blip then everyone will take that.

“Fulham was always going to be one of the hardest games left. It wasn’t a massive shock they lost, it was just the manner of the defeat that’s concerned people.

“For the first time this season they weren’t really ever in the game despite having a couple of chances.

“It’s the first main setback they’ve had and people will be asking if the bubble’s burst.

“But they’ve got enough match-winners in their squad and Nuno will be saying they’ve got to bounce back and be positive – those are the messages they need."
