It has been reported that a rival club has drafted a letter expressing concerns about Mendes' influence, which will be brought up with the EFL and the FA.

It's suggested that a number of clubs have raised the issue, with Leeds United, Derby County and Aston Villa said to be three teams who've spoken to the EFL in the past.

The matter is likely to be discussed at an EFL board meeting on Thursday.

Mendes assisted in Fosun's £30million takeover of Wolves and a number of his clients – including long-time friend Nuno – are on Wolves' books.

Fosun also have have a percentage stake in the Gestifute company headed up Mendes.

However Nuno said he wasn't worried about the concerns that have been raised.

"I don't know and I don't care," he said at today's pre-Leeds press conference.

"It's not my issue. My job is to prepare the team and prepare it well for the competition.

"(I have a relationship with Jorge) for 25 years. If the clubs claim that EFL... see what they have to say, it's not for me to worry about these things.

"My only focus is on preparing the team for the games."

Is he surprised at the interest shown in Mendes by other clubs and the media? "I don't care, I don't care," Nuno said.

"It's an issue that doesn't concern me or worry me because I trust completely the club and what the club is doing.

"Wolves is Wolves, agents are agents, other clubs are other clubs.

"I only care and focus on Wolves and our daily work."

When asked if Mendes had been a positive influence on Wolves, the head coach replied: "To all the teams. We have good agents, good players, you want them on your team.

"You have to work with the best ones."
