Afobe has scored four goals in his past four appearances and earned a spot in Nuno Espirito Santo's XI ahead of the misfiring Leo Bonatini.

Wolves have an option to buy Afobe – who left for Bournemouth for £10million in 2016 – permanently in the summer.

And the striker said: "I've said this is home to me. We've still got eight games to go, those kind of calls will be between Bournemouth and Wolves and my agent.

"I'll have to sit down with my family but my dream has always been to play for Wolves in the Premier League so if that's to go by anything then hopefully that can happen."

A perfect week for Wolves, helped by Afobe's goals, saw them move 13 points clear of Fulham and Villa in the race for promotion.

Afobe insists he "doesn't care" what the likes of Villa do, as Wolves focus on getting just the four wins they now need to return to the Premier League for the first time since 2012.

"I haven't really focused on other teams," he added. "I couldn't even tell you who Villa have got in their next game. Some players talk about it but I don't really care.

"It's in our hands and that's the beauty of being in pole position.

"It's as simple as that. If we keep winning it doesn't matter if they win 10-0 or 5-0 or lose to be honest. I don't really care.

"It's all about Wolves. I don't think there are many teams that could live with us."

Afobe has looked match sharp in the past week. He said he's gradually building up his fitness.

"I got cramp after 75 minutes so I'm still not the fittest I can be," he added.

"I'm building myself up. If I've scored and the team's winning your confidence keeps coming up. It's not about me, it's about the team.

"I'm focusing every day in training, speaking to the manager and the staff about how I can improve myself and how they can improve me.

"Against Reading it was my first start in three months, my dad told me that and I was a bit shocked.

"I've only played one 90 minutes this season. I've got four goals now but the main thing is building my fitness. With eight games to go I'm at a point where I'm ready to keep pushing."
