Nuno Espirito Santo's team will play in the Premier League next season after Fulham's 1-1 draw with Brentford secured promotion with four games to spare.

Batth and the players watched the Fulham game at the team hotel and there were wild celebrations at the final whistle.

He said: "It was an emotional moment. It's crazy actually the way it finished and obviously now having everything confirmed.

"I know there's been a few videos flying around of us jumping up and down cheering but it's hard to sum up what it feels like to be part of a squad that's achieved promotion out of this division.

"So many players, so much hard work, staff making sacrifices every day...all the things that go into a successful team have this season come together.

"Credit to the manager and his staff for their superb season.

"Likewise we've got a big game tomorrow, full house and we want to put on a good performance for everyone.

"It's not over yet, there's still a competition to win and we want to focus on doing that."

It's been a dramatic few weeks for the team with thrilling wins at Middlesbrough and Cardiff, which Bathh pinpointed as crucial in the run-in.

"Look back at the Cardiff and Middlesbrough games...if you're not going up those games go the other way," he said.

"The lads have been outstanding all season and for those results to go our way have pushed us on and given us a bit of comfort knowing we're promoted.

"It's quite surreal, we've been jumping up and down, it's boiling hot in there everyone's been high-fiving and hugging. You can imagine the emotions...and now we're off to bed because the game's so early tomorrow.

"All the lads are going to be resting up and making sure we put a good display on."

Wolves will be watched by another sell-out against Blues and Batth paid tribute to the club's fans.

"This is what we've worked towards," he said. "Those Tuesday nights you might have been driving up and down the motorway, hopefuly it feels like it's all worth it now, seeing a team that's playing such great football and a club that's going in the right direction with so many good players.

"It's the first step in the journey.

"Off the back of all the mediocre seasons and be promoted with four games to go is unbelievable. Thank you to every single person that's turned up this season...it's been like no other."
