Adama Traore looks to positives as Wolves chase first win
New signing Adama Traore says a positive mentality will help Wolves as they look to get off the winning mark tonight.
Nuno Espirito Santo's team travel to Yorkshire to face Sheffield Wednesday in the second round of the Carabao Cup looking to win their first game of the new season after two draws and a defeat in the league.
Traore, who joined from Middlesbrough in a club record £18million deal earlier this month, could be handed his full debut after coming off the bench during Wolves' last two Premier League outings.
The winger said: "It would be good to win, not only on Tuesday but every game.
“We need a positive mindset.
“It’s the decision of the manager as to who plays – if I start my mentality is to work and be the best I can be every day.
“It’s a great squad and we have the quality. The mentality is from Nuno and we follow.”
Traore certainly made the most of the 20 minutes he was given against Manchester City at Molineux on Saturday, roasting World Cup winner Benjamin Mendy on two occasions and getting the crowd on their feet.
“It was my first game at Molineux and I enjoyed it,” the 22-year-old Spaniard added.
“The team has been amazing with a very good performance against a very big team.
“I’m happy to have 20 minutes and I’ll keep working to play more.
“Our mentality is game by game, whoever is the team and the situation.
“I think we have the quality to win every game.
“The manager, the staff and the players have been good with me and it’s easy to adapt – everyone around makes it easy.
“I’m happy to be here and I hope I can improve and be better every day.
“Whatever minutes the gaffer gives me I’ll give 100 per cent.”
Wolves will take a following of more than 1,500 to Hillsborough.
