Nuno not setting Wolves targets
Nuno Espirito Santo insists Wolves are not setting targets for the season despite their flying start.
Wolves are seventh in the Premier League having won four of their opening eight matches, with the latest being a 1-0 success at Crystal Palace on Saturday.
In the past 54 years – since legendary manager Stan Cullis left the club – they have only made a better start in the top flight on one occasion (in 1979).
But despite Wolves looking decent bets for a tilt at finishing in the top seven, which would probably see them qualify for Europe, Nuno said: “We don’t change, we go game by game.
“The next goal is to compete in the next game at home.
“It’s the international break, the players who go should enjoy and be with their national teams and play some good football.
“When they come back we’re working with other aspects of the squad, we go game-by game, no targets.”
