Wolves boss Nuno fined by FA after accepting charge
Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo has been fined £8,000 after accepting a charge of misconduct by the FA.
Nuno was charged by English football's governing body after his on-pitch celebration at the end of Wolves' remarkable 4-3 win over Leicester City on Saturday.
The £8,000 fine is the same dished out to Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, who sprinted into the centre circle to celebrate a last-minute winner against Everton earlier this season.
Klopp wasn't sent off that day, but the same referee as for that game, Chris Kavanagh, did send Nuno off on Saturday.
The FA said: "Wolves manager Nuno Espírito Santo has been fined £8,000 after he admitted an FA improper conduct charge and accepted the standard penalty.
"It concerned his behaviour in the 93rd minute of the game against Leicester on 19 January 2019."
Nuno said of his infringement after Saturday's game: "There is no explanation.
"After all the situations in the game, to finish the game like that brings tremendous happiness for everyone in Molineux. I'm no exception.
"The referee explained to me what happened. It was clear, and it was a good decision.
"You are not allowed to go out of your technical area, even to celebrate.
"It's a very difficult moment, especially as the game was up and down.
"It is difficult to contain your emotions. It is the law. It has happened before with other managers."
