Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo has dismissed talk over his future – insisting the fact he signed a new contract last year does the talking.

Nuno has been mentioned as a potential contender for the Tottenham job after Jose Mourinho’s sacking.

But the Wolves chief was quick to highlight the three-year deal he penned last September when asked about the speculation, as he focuses on tomorrow’s clash with Burnley.

“I have a contract. When I sign a contract, there’s nothing that I can say more,” said Nuno.

“It’s my decision to sign a contract. So, that’s what I want to say.

“When I make a decision like that, it’s because there’s no doubts in my mind.”

Asked whether he still feels the same as when he put pen to paper, Nuno said: “No doubts at all.

“I’m going to be here in the morning to prepare our game against Burnley.”

Meanwhile, Nuno has revealed ‘the bone’ remains the ‘main issue’ as they await clearance for Raul Jimenez to return to action from a fractured skull.

“Nothing has really changed. He keeps on working very hard. Everybody sees he’s improving,” said Nuno.

“He’s almost ready to go. Now, we have the next exam and the next decision from the surgeon and our own medical department.

“We have to sit down and create a new plan because everything looked like he was joining us soon, but we still have to wait and be patient. He’s on course but he still has the main issue, which is the bone.

“We still have to respect that and that’s why we don’t allow him to head the ball. We’re being careful because it’s about the bone. Hopefully, he’ll have the clearance and he can rejoin us.”

On if he still feels Jimenez will play again this season, Nuno added: “That’s why I cannot answer to you. Our desire to make things happen keeps us hopeful.”
