Supporters, from 10am tomorrow morning, will be able to put themselves into a ticketing ballot for the Premier League game against Manchester United on May 23.

They have been locked out of Molineux since March 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic, but season ticket-holders from the 2019/20 campaign can put themselves into the draw for the final match of the current season.

Successful fans will then be randomly picked out and given an exclusive window to buy tickets for the clash.

Details on capacity, pricing and social distancing will be announced ‘following the close of the ballot’.

Announcing the news, Wolves said the ballot system was the ‘fairest way’ of doing things.

A club statement read: “Wolves supporters will be able to register this week for a ticketing ballot, which will help decide which supporters are able to purchase tickets for the final match of the season, against Manchester United.

“In consultation with supporters, the ballot model was deemed the fairest way to decide which Wolves supporters will be able to make their long-awaited return to Molineux for the Premier League season finale next month.

“In advance of the government announcement on step three changes to the roadmap out of lockdown on May 10, season ticket holders from the 2019/20 season will be eligible to enter the ballot from 10am on Wednesday, April 28, until midnight on Tuesday, May 4.

“Ahead of the fixture on Sunday, May 23, successful supporters will be randomly drawn from the ballot and given an exclusive window to purchase tickets for the game, pending confirmation of step three changes from the government.”

Wolves supporters can enter the ballot via the club’s website and will then receive the outcome of their entry by 5pm on Friday, May 7.

A separate ballot is taking place for corporate season ticket-holders, but with the same timeline.
