Steve Bull: Just one goal – but Diego Costa certainly gave everything for Wolves

From one striker to another, first of all we have to say thank you to Diego Costa.

He didn’t have to come to us, he was unfit when he came and after a few months you could see signs of the player he was.

Players come and go – and we probably need some fresh blood in now – but you have to thank him for all he’s done.

He didn’t score many goals but he was a threat on the field and a good influence off it.

His one goal was a nice moment. It was for the fans just as much as it was for him.

They were chanting his name all the way up until the end of the season and it reminded me of when I was playing back in the day.

The crowd push you on – it’s a great feeling.

Wolves fans love a goalscorer and a hard-worker, and Costa definitely put the graft in.
