Bridgnorth beat rain to be junior league golf champions

Bridgnorth's young golfers battled through torrential downpours to become Shropshire & Herefordshire's Junior League champions.

They claimed victory in a tense final against Shrewsbury on holes won after the six singles matchplay games ended 3-3 at Telford Golf & Country Club.

The final had to be delayed two hours due to heavy rain, which also forced the abandonment of the third-and-fourth place play-off between Wrekin and Burghill Valley.
