Farr, from Ludlow, will take part in three two-day tournaments taking place over a week-and-a-half as part of the Jamega Pro Golf Tour, with his first competition starting on March 11.

The 24-year old, who is based at Worcester Golf & Country Club, is hoping the trip will help hone his skills further as he builds up to the start of the new Europro Tour season which gets underway in April.

He said: "It has been a slow February weather-wise. I have been practising and playing a bit but this will help me get a competitive edge and get ready for April when the season really kicks off.

"It's good to have three tournaments quite close together to see where my game is at. It is like a mini-season and it has just the right amount of practice time in between events."

Farr's first competition will take place at the Costa Esuri Golf Club on March 11-12 followed by the Quinta do Vale on the 14-15 and La Monacilla on the 18-19.

Farr completed his first season as a professional in November last year, finishing 25th in the Europro Tour order of merit. But he is now aiming to improve on that finish and to book his place on the more prestigious Challenge Tour.
