Shropshire's Oliver Farr on course to make the cut at Fred Olsen Challenge

Shropshire golf professional Oliver Farr was well placed to make the cut heading into today's second round of the Fred Olsen Challenge de Espana.

Farr, from Ludlow, finished day one tied ninth on the leaderboard in La Gomera, Canary Islands, after carding a four-under-par 67.

His round featured an eagle on the ninth, four birdies and two bogeys.

France's Damien Perrier and Czech Republic's Ondrej Lieser were tied first after round one on 65.
