The FSC Invitational, which will start tomorrow, is being held at Astbury Hall near Bridgnorth.

The course, which is owned and designed by legendary Judas Priest guitarist and songwriter KK Downing, will host the latest round of the PGA Europro Tour with a £10,000 first prize up for grabs.

Drummond, who won the PGA Championship at Wentworth in 2004, will face strong opposition from a packed field headed by tournament favourites Jack Senior and William Harrold.

They are clear favourites with the bookies having each won two of the first four events of the season while last year's winner at Astbury Hall, James Hepworth, returns to defend his title.

Senior and Harrold have dominated the early stages of the tour season as they chase one of the Challenge Tour cards handed out to the top five on the Order of Merit at the end of the campaign.

Among the other names to look out for will be Garrick Porteous, the 2013 Amateur Champion who turned professional after competing in The Masters at Augusta in April.

Two former Ryder Cup stars will also be in action – six-time European Tour winner Paul Broadhurst and Shifnal-born Peter Baker, who plays out of South Staffordshire Golf Club and who has three European Tour titles to his name.

Luke Towler, from Telford Hotel and Golf Resort, and Rhodri Fieldhouse of Wrexham Golf Club will also be teeing off.

The FSC Invitational will be played over 54-holes over three days, concluding on Friday.

The final round will be filmed for a two-hour highlights package to be broadcast on Sky Sports HD on June 24, with repeats the following day.
