Richardson to the four in ladies merit
Kelly Richardson is four-midable in the Oswestry League’s Ladies Merit, writes Malcolm Fletcher.

The Johnstown bowler won the title for a fabulous fourth time by beating homester Leane Langford 21-8 in Sunday’s final at Bersham.
And it was a third league title of the season for Richardson, having earlier won both the Mixed Pairs and Jubilee Pairs with different partners.
She progressed to the ladies final by beating club-mates Keira Edwards 21-13 in the quarter-finals and then Rebecca Davies 21-12.
“It was a great day’s bowling on an immaculate green and in lovely sunshine,” said organiser Trevor Roberts. “Kelly secured a hat-trick of successive wins in this competition with a fine display of bowling against home bowler Leanne Langford.”
Richardson first won the Oswestry Ladies Merit in 2013 and was a semi-finalist in 2014 before starting her current domination of the competition.
Langford beat Sue Taylor and semi-final opponent Juliet Brown both 21-18.
