Warriors boast teams from U14s, U16s and U18s all the way up to a men's level, and intend to bolster their numbers ahead of yet another league season.

The club's younger age groups compete in Basketball England's EBL, with their U14s and U16s playing in the Midlands West division, whilst their U18s feature in the Midlands section.

Their men's team will feature in the West Midlands Premier division, whilst their women's squad also plays regularly in the female side of the league.

But in an effort to draw more players into the sport, which has some of the highest participation numbers in youngsters across the country, the club are opening the doors to new talent.

The open session will be hosted at TCAT this Saturday, catering for players from the age of 10 up to the men's level, running from 10am to 12pm.

Brett McCormick, Shropshire Warriors' chairman, believes it could prove a great opportunity for potential players.

"It's about trying to encouraging people to take up basketball and hopefully get them playing at a National League level" he said.

"We have teams right up from U14s to men and women, and hopefully we can help people get involved and start playing."
