The 12-year-old from Bridgnorth Endowed School, produced a fantastic end to a very successful cross county season at Loughborough.

She had tough competition for the first half of the 2.8km race at Prestwold Hall – but increased her lead over the final kilometre to finish 12 seconds clear of second-placed Abigail Reid from Essex.

Her victory followed on from an excellent performance at the English National Cross Country Championships last month in the grounds of Harewood House, Leeds, where she recovered from a fall to finish second.

Zoe was leading the under-13s race, run over 3.2km, before a fall in which she broke a finger and a bone in her hand.
